Download Adaware

  1. Click on link Adaware  (or copy and paste the following address into your address bar:

  1. This will bring you to a site called DOWNLOAD.COM.  Click on Download Now

Click Image for example:  adaware2.JPG (33909 bytes)

For High Speed Internet Users:  A File Download window will appear.  Click on Run.  Follow the installation wizard instructions to install.

For Dial Up Internet Users: Click on Save and then save to your desktop.  Once downloaded, double click icon on your desktop and follow installation wizard instructions to install.

Note:  If you downloaded to your desktop, delete the icon from your desktop after installation is complete.

Install Adaware

  1. Click Next

  1. Click I Accept the license agreement, then click Next

  1. Enter your name and make sure "Anyone who uses this computer" is chosen, then click Next

  1. Ensure Standard Installation is checked, then click Next

  1. Keep defaults and click Next

  1. Click Next

  1. A popup for license information will appear.  Click Cancel for the free version.

  1. Click Finish

Update Adaware

  1. If not already open, Click on Start > All Programs > Lavasoft > Ad-Aware 2007 >Ad-Aware 2007

  1. Click on Update

  1. Click on Yes

  1. Wait for the download to finish (do not disconnect your internet connection until you receive the Update Complete message, then click OK

Note:  You can also click on Web Update in the left hand pane and then click Update

Run a Full System Scan

  1. Click on Scan in the left hand pane

  1. Check Button for “Full Scan”, then click Scan

  1. Once scan completes, go to each tab, right click and choose Select all objects, then click Remove

  1. Click Finish

  You are done!  Do this once a week to keep your computer free of Spyware and Ad-Aware.
