To Use Spybot Search and Destroy
Install Spybot 1. Click on link Spybot (or copy and paste the following address into your address bar: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html ) 2. This will bring you to a site called DOWNLOAD.COM. Click on Download Now
For High Speed Internet Users: A File Download window will appear. Click on Run. Follow the installation wizard instructions to install.
For Dial Up Internet Users: Click on Save and then save to your desktop. Once downloaded, double click icon on your desktop and follow installation wizard instructions to install. Note: If you downloaded to your desktop, delete the icon from your desktop after installation is complete. 1. Click Next 2. Click Search for
Updates 3. Click Download all available update 4. Once download finishes, click Next 5. Click Immunize this system 6. Once Immunization has finished, Click Next 7. Click Start using this program Update
and Immunize Spybot Search & Destroy Note: You need to update Spybot weekly and Immunize after updating to stay protected.
2. Click Search for updates 3. Right click any of the updates shown and choose Select All 4. Click Download Updates 5. Program will automatically download and install the updates selected. 6. Click Immunize in the left pane 7. Click OK to Warning 8. Click Immunize at the top right hand pane 9. Verify the message in the center states all bad products are blocked. Note: If it does not say all are blocked, then repeat step 7 and then click Check Again until it does say all bad products are blocked.
Run
a Scan 1. Click the button on the top left side of the window labeled Search & Destroy 2. Click Check for Problems 3. Once scan is finished, Click Fix Selected Problems 4. Click Yes to continue 5. Click OK to finish
You are finished!! Run the updates, immunize and the scan weekly to keep your machine free of spyware and
